D 26d 5e Dog Race Entries

The self-evidently titled Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos for 5e splatbook, as its name suggests, contains several new PC races for D&D 5e based on less malevolent monsters from the Mythos. Ironically, none of the Mythosian races made playable in Pathfinder, such as the Being of Ib or the Yaddithian, were converted. You can get an animal companion, mounts or NPC companions for that matter. The knight background even gives you NPC retinues to follow you around from the get-go. So you can buy yourself a dog or a cat if you want, rather than investing three or m. Any race-based bonus is a statement both that the race in question is better and that other races are worse, relatively speaking, with respect to that ability. For example, the 5E elf's and halfling's +2 dexterity bonus means that elves and halflings are more dexterous than the other races on average; that bonus also necessarily means that all other races are less dexterous than elves and halflings on average too. We had tried tying him up with a leash when we left to go to the store and he chewed through that. The Races of D&D: Fey Dog Author’s Note: By request of Anon, here is my take on a fey dog race. Sure, the name’s not original, but I tried my best to stay faithful to the Corgyn from /tg/.

Dnd 5e Races List (5th Edition) Dungeons and Dragons are one of the most excellent online games that have become even much better with the addition of new features in its 5th edition. Having distinguishing and fantastic powers and characteristics, all of the characters here are quite powerful and unique from each other in different aspects. Is there currently any race in source materials or UA for a canine humanoid other than Gnolls? Like a Wolf or dog version of a Tabaxi. I'd rather use something with a bit more grounding in the world lore of Forgotten Realms than resorting to a Homebrew right out of the gate.

  • 6Canus Traits

Canus

Usually known as 'Man's best friend'. Most Canus are kept as slaves, pets, or mercenaries for most of their life, but some find freedom from their masters through escaping, good behavior, or kindness. Canus are widely considered inhumane, and therefore don't have human rights, though this may be untrue for certain regions. In regions where they aren't considered human, they are considered 'attack dogs', 'dog maids', or sometimes even simple 'house pets'.

Physical Description

Race

Canus are humanoids with certain dog-like features. This includes almost always ears and a tail, and rarely furred forearms and hands. The specifics of these traits change with sub-race, or in the harsher side of their heritage, 'breeds'. Hellhounds have darker furs, and fire seems to burn in their eyes. Servants have white fur nearly all the time, but sometimes a mutation will cause them to have grey hair, their eyes look quite normal. Domestics have brown fur, and usually, have a slightly blank look in their eyes.

History

The Canus are a result of ancestors with lycanthropy giving birth to children with regular humans. Since lycanthropes are considered monsters, their children were considered freaks of nature, a mixture of monster and human that shouldn't exist. That is until one was allowed to grow up. This singular creature was docile and friendly, had little intelligence and seemed like a domestic wolf. That is when they became simple pets. However, once they started to become more and more human-like, it has become a question of if they can be given human rights.

Society

There is not much to Canus society, they were treated like pets originally, so most of their society is basically pet society.
